Republicans FINALLY Introduce Articles of Impeachment, But Not for Joe Biden

Republicans have seen enough of the disaster in Afghanistan.

They have finally introduced Articles of Impeachment.

The only problem?

They’re not for Joe Biden.

They’re for Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Is there any doubt that if President Trump were in the White House, the Democrats would try to impeach him for this?

Why is it that Democrats can stand together?

But Republicans always seem to lack a backbone?

More details below:

The Articles of Impeachment come after Biden signaled that he will NOT ask for the resignation of anyone in his administration.

Despite the clear disaster that is happening in Afghanistan, Biden is defending his decision and his administration.

The Daily Caller confirms that Articles of Impeachment have been introduced:

Two House Republicans introduced articles of impeachment against Secretary Of State Antony Blinken on Friday, saying he failed at his job after at least 13 U.S. service members were killed in one of the deadliest days for U.S. service members in Afghanistan in over a decade.

Republican Reps. Ralph Norman of South Carolina and Andy Harris of Maryland introduced the resolution, obtained by the Daily Caller, saying President Joe Biden and specifically, Blinken are solely responsible for the ongoing bloodshed in Afghanistan.

“The Biden Administration’s handling of Afghanistan has been an unmitigated catastrophe. This preventable tragedy rests solely on the shoulders of President Biden and his Administration, and in particular the Secretary of State. We are the most powerful nation on the planet, and we must make clear to the Taliban that we will stay to get our people out as long as that takes,” Harris said in a statement.

“Secretary Blinken’s complete and utter failure of managing this avoidable catastrophe makes him unfit for leadership, and I hope my colleagues will join me in pushing for his removal,” Harris added.

“The recent events in Afghanistan were entirely preventable. The actions undertaken by this administration, but more specifically Secretary Blinken, were irresponsible and have placed countless American lives in harm’s way, resulting in the deadliest attack on American soldiers in the last decade. Under the Constitution of the United States of America, the Secretary of State is tasked with informing Congress and American citizens on the conduct of U.S. foreign relations. In Afghanistan he failed to do so, leaving American citizens exposed in city under the control of the Taliban,” Norman said in a statement.

“Secretary Blinken is also responsible for the safety of American citizens abroad and, in the case of danger, the safe and efficient evacuation of those Americans – which he has not done thus far. There are hundreds of question that need answers about this disastrous outcome from previous leaders, President Biden, and his entire administration. One lost life is one too many. Secretary Blinken played a vital role in this foreign policy failure and his dereliction of duty deserves nothing less than impeachment,” Norman added.

But impeaching Blinken may not be enough.

The calls to impeach Biden are reaching fever pitch.

But it’s not just people posting on social media.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has signaled that he himself is willing to impeach Biden.

According to Fox News:

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., left open the possibility that Republicans would seek to impeach President Biden over his handling of the troop withdrawal in Afghanistan that cost at least 13 American service members their lives.

Already several Republicans in Congress have publicly called for Biden’s resignation or impeachment surrounding the deadly suicide bombing attack at the Kabul airport Thursday.

At a news conference Friday, McCarthy sidestepped a direct question on whether he backs those efforts, but signaled the president will be held accountable at some point.

“I’m extremely frustrated with this president,” McCarthy told reporters at the Capitol.

“There will be a day of reckoning,” he added.

McCarthy, who is banking on Republicans retaking the House in 2022 and becoming the next House Speaker, said Biden has “lost” the faith, trust and confidence of the American public. But he said the immediate concern right now is getting Americans safely out of Afghanistan by Biden’s Aug. 31 withdrawal deadline.

He called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to bring Congress back into session so members could get another Biden administration briefing on the situation in Afghanistan. Pelosi arranged a briefing for all members already earlier this week on Tuesday, but McCarthy said lawmakers should be back in Washington for another because there are so many unanswered questions.

Pelosi said Thursday that congressional leaders were also briefed by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and “further conversations among top Administration officials and Congress will be ongoing.”

McCarthy also urged Pelosi to allow a vote on legislation authored by Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-Wis., that would aim to block Biden from withdrawing troops by Aug. 31.

If Trump could be impeached for a perfect phone call, then Biden can be impeached for 13 dead Americans.

But to make matters worse, Biden gave a list of American names over to the Taliban!

Does that not endanger American security and American lives?!

Republicans, please pay attention!
